Tools required: Phillips size 0 screwdriver, plastic tool such as a guitar plectrum or credit card.
- Remove your back cover, battery, sim and memory card.
- Remove the sticker at the top of the phone, as shown below, and then the two screws underneath. Next, push your screwdriver into the two holes, circled. This will release the keypad on the other side.
- You should now have the keypad removed. Two plastic covers will also come away. These simply push back in place before the keypad goes back on.
- Open the slide just slightly, as shown below, and you'll then be able to access a screw in each hole (circled). Remove these screws.
- Run your plastic tool around the join of the front cover to release it.
- You should now have the front cover removed. Release the three clips which hold the keypad membrane in place.
- You'll now have access to a ribbon connector, circled. This attaches like a plug and socket. Simply pull it away from it's socket to unplug it.
- Lever the screen out from the point indicated below (use your plastic tool to do this).
- You should now have the LCD removed. Reverse the whole procedure for reassembly.
