- Before starting, remove your memory card. Next remove the four screws which hold the back cover in place
- With the four screws removed you can release the back cover. Run your fingernail all the way round the edge of the housing then lift the back cover away from the rest of the phone. Lift the cover from the bottom of the phone. A little force is required
- Your phone should now be in two parts, like below. Remove the two torx 6 screws at the top of the phone. You can now release the front cover
- To remove the front cover just lift it away from the main body of the phone, from right to left, as pictured
- You should now have the front cover off, allowing access to the LCD screen
- Lift away the keypad part, as pictured below. Just lift it upwards and it'll pop off
- Lift the keypad part from right to left. It does not need to be fully released, just made loose so you can remove the LCD screen
- The LCD frame, which holds the LCD screen, is help on by clips around the edge of the phone's chassis. Unclip this part then lift it away from the phone. It is held in place by a ribbon which simply attaches like a plug and socket. Lift the ribbon upward to unplug it
- You should now have the LCD disconnected from the phone
- Unclip the metal part shown below. It is held on by two clips at the side of the LCD frame. You can then remove the LCD screen and replace with new. Reverse the whole procedure for reassembly
