Tools required: Torx 6 screwdriver, Phillips size 0 screwdriver, plastic tool such as a credit card
- Remove your back cover, battery, sim, memory card etc. Remove the two screws you can see. Push the aerial cover in the direction shown.
- With the aerial cover removed you'll see two more screws. Remove these.
- Run your fingernail or the edge of a credit card along the join of the front cover in order to remove it.
- You should now have your front cover removed, like below. Remove the screw, circled. You can now remove the battery compartment.
- Your phone should now look like below. Now remove the LCD frame and keypad part. It's held onto the circuit board by three clips near the top of the phone (two on each side and one in the middle).
- Your phone should now look like below. Note the two ribbons which have disconnected. These simply push back into their sockets.
- They keypad part is stuck down with double sided tape and will peel away with a little force.
- Carefully lever out the LCD.
- You should now have the LCD screen removed. Reverse the whole procedure for reassembly.
